Jillian Michaels recipe for detox and weight loss

Since Jillian Michaels is such an expert in helping people lose weight, but she would probably make me cry, here’s a little tip I found to help lose weight. It claims you can lose up to 5lbs in 7 days. Because it’s a detox, it will mostly be water weight, but it could be a good starting point. I can’t try this one because I am breastfeeding, but if anyone tries it, let me know what you think!

I am trying an alternative, 1/2 a cucumber sliced in 2L water, 10 mint leaves and juice from one lemon steeped overnight, and drink the entire 2L everyday. I’ll report back on this method in a couple of weeks.

Here is a list to make things easy, since I missed yesterday.

You don’t need to add fat to get flavour! Add spices like Cayenne, black pepper, garlic, onion, curry, or cinnamon to foods. Spices have a lot of benefits to your health, including burning fat, amping up your¬†metabolism, or suppressing your appetite.

Foods that specifically target Belly fat:

Greek Yogurt
Avocado
Almonds
Apples
Bananas
Salmon
Protein Powder (Amino Acids melt away belly fat & maintains muscle mass. *Casein Protein Powder * it digests slowly & provides constant stream amino acids over extended period of time)
Flaxseeds
Blackberried
Peanut Butter

There are so many options with these foods. I’m already thinking about getting some fat free greek yogurt, puree some blackberries, or banana and peanut butter, and freeze for a nice cold ice-cream like treat that burns fat at the same time!

I know I have a muffin top! If there’s something that helps to get rid of it (beyond not eating anymore McDonald’s muffins) I’m willing to try it!

I may have to work up to jack knives, but the other two look pretty easy.

Only complaint is that I wish they had a girl who actually HAS a muffin top doing the exercises!

Bob Harper’s tips for weightloss

Trainer on the biggest loser, who has helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds, he has some credibility!
Here is a list of his tips how to lose weight. Some things to think about… I for one am guilty of drinking calories… I don’t often drink pop, but I was drinking juice often. Since the first time I read this, it always sticks in my head “don’t drink your calories!”

Read through and see what you can do to help yourself lose weight. Maybe leave a comment on where you can improve so we can keep each other on track!
